Hello,
I present myself as proposed. I need to make precise drawings for my houses and apartments, that I renovate.
I would use CAD :
- for tiling : ceiling tiles are sold in packs that cost roughly 100 € each so that it is really worth optimizing or
- for putting furniture altogether with minimal sweat,
- for recalling dimensional data when buying a window or door.
I have some technical drawing experience, on paper.
I have tried before :
- Google sketchup, not for me : I do not need 3D and Google sketchup has restrictions on 2D,
- DraftSight, not for me : after hours of trying, I still did not take off.
Finally QCAD, logical and simple, seems to be good for me so far.
I work on a 13" Macbook pro without mouse.
Cheers.

Hello palba - welcome in the forum!

Sounds like a plan - I assume QCAD will fit your needs!palba wrote:I would use CAD :
