intro
Hi. I'm Pat. I'm a retired art teacher. I still paint but lately I've been drawn to more technical projects. I own a Honda Goldwing GL1800 motorcycle on which I've installed a trike kit. That experience boosted my confidence. I have also designed and built my own camper trailer. I am learning a lot about new materials, engines and other things. I recently read David McCullough's account of the Wright brothers and now I'm infected with flying fever! Lol! I'd like to build and fly an ultralight aircraft. I'm on YouTube a lot and also reading. I have gravitated to a couple of designs: the Bloop and the Legal Eagle. Although somewhat different, each has characteristics to which I am drawn. As I continue my research, I feel compelled to record design ideas on a more technical platform. That is why QCad is important to me. I'm hoping to become proficient at it so that I can progress on my crazy journey and ultimate goal of building a plane.
