Moving from Intel to Apple processor

Not really a pre-sales question as I have been using QCAD for some years. Currently I use QCAD on a iMac Pro (Xeon W processor), my two main uses are QCAD and photo processing, obviously I am not asking here about the photography side, just QCAD.

On my current setup the current version of QCAD Pro (3.28.2) works just fine. I do not want to move to say Mac Studio with Apple M2 processor and find that QCAD is not as reliable as it is with my current Intel setup.

Maybe I should wait until my current Mac has to be replaced.

You thoughts are very welcome.

Regards

Dave

Hi,

In general I foresee no specific or problematic issues with Apple M2 processor.
M1/M2 are supported for some time now and I don't see many users complaining.
On the other hand, the more users, the more stable it may become by fixing reported bugs.

Sure, there were specific bugs with supporting these processors, with Qt6, but ...
... A) these things get fixed and B) there are/were other (common) bugs too.

Your personal QCAD Pro licence lets you install QCAD on any machine, on any supported platform for personal use.
